Gundren, at this point quite obsessed with the idea of chasing down legends of an old mine near Phandalin asked Sildar to join him, and he agreed. In Neverwinter he befriended Sildar Hallwinter, who enjoyed the dwarf’s jovial company, despite his eccentricity. His brothers are not quite sure whether they agreed with this wild goose chase either however they trust his ability to turn a profit out of every venture he pursued, and follow him loyally. He chases down every myth and fanciful tale, and he never wavered from his dream to find hidden treasures of fabled legend, no matter how people laughed at him behind his back or to his face when in their cups. Surrounding folk consider him a tad eccentric and certainly stubborn to a fault. Now a wealthy and well established merchant, he seeks to go back to his roots, and delve into the Sword Mountains, seeking hidden and forgotten knowledge, and of course also wealth. Together with his brothers Tharden and Nundro Rockseeker, he has been quite successful at finding ways to make coin.
